Last year, Iga Świątek claimed her first women’s singles title while Jannik Sinner defeated 2024 Wimbledon titleholder Carlos Alcaraz to win the men’s title, battling through a number of nail-biting sets. The 2026 edition of the world-renowned tennis tournament looks to be just as competitive.

When will Wimbledon 2026 be held?
Wimbledon begins with qualifying on Monday 22 June, with a round of 128, but the tournament proper begins on Monday 29 June, with the first round spanning two days for both men and women (or ‘gentlemen’ and ‘ladies’ in the traditional parlance of the All England Club). Then the doubles starts on July 1 and the mixed doubles on July 3.
The tournament will then continue over the next week and a few, until the singles semifinals (women play first) on July 9 and 10 and the finals (again, women play first) on July 11 and 12. The mixed, men’s and women’s doubles finals will be held on July 9, 11 and 12 respectively (note that here, the men’s doubles final is Before of women).
How can you watch Wimbledon on TV?
The BBC has traditionally been the main broadcaster of Wimbledon and will remain so this year. All the action will be available for free on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
Where is the Wimbledon tournament held?
At Wimbledon, of course. The tournament is held at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet ClubIt is also known as All England Club. In 2022, the tournament celebrated its 100th anniversary at the venue. There are 18 championship courts at the venue, including the Show Court – Center Court, No. 1 Court and No. 2 Court.
