9. CULINARY CORNER: Beef in salt: Cook 2 1/2 cups peeled and diced potatoes in water for about 10 minutes until fork tender, drain. Coarsely chop 1 lb. uncut cooked beef in the food processor. Heat 3 tbsp. vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 cup chopped onion and 2 cloves finely chopped garlic; cook for 5 minutes. Add the potatoes, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper, cook until the potatoes are soft. Reduce heat to low, add beef, 2 tsp. coarse-grained ready-made mustard and 2 tbsp. oil. Press into pan and cook until browned; flip over and cook the other side.
