Sofas are investment pieces. Working in interiors, I am well aware that good things don’t come cheap. However, now and again, I come across a unicorn sofa that’s just design-forward, well-reviewed and not under the £250 mark, and that’s fine. Evening £209 Marseille 2 seater sofa is
Online homeware store, Dusk, is already famous for offering high-end looks with low price tags on ideal home desks. However, right now they are having one of their biggest sales, making their luxury looking furniture, The best sofa And home accessories even more affordable.
The Marseille range of sofas and chairs is relatively new, having been launched as part of the Dusk SS26 collection. At full price, the range was already incredibly affordable, with the sofa being the most expensive Marseille 3-seater, price £449 (currently reduced to £404), and a 2-seater sofa in late reduced from £349 to £209.
The Marseille sofa is available in two colors, Senille Ivory and Latte. The Latte colorway has the biggest savings on the 2-seater, with £140 off the price, while the Ivory 2-seater has been reduced from £299 to £269 to just £30.
However, even at a slightly higher price, this sofa is a steal (even for a two-seater). It’s a price point I’ve only seen rivaled IKEA, accommodation And DunelmAnd trust me, they don’t look anywhere near as stylish.
Does the Marseille sofa look so expensive?
It’s the shape of the sculptural arms that make up the sofa, and its armchair counterpart, which is currently reduced from £259 to £155, looks very expensive. Curved arms are a design feature I’ve only seen in high-end designs, viz Rocket St. George Ivory Buckle Fabric Curved Arm Armchair, It was priced at £1,340 but is now on sale for £670.
I also love the luxurious looking late colorways; However, I hope the sofa will soon be available in the rich terracotta colorway they launched. Marseille armchair, priced at £233 (down from £259).
Of course, you’ll have to settle for any sofa under £300. In the case of the evening Marseille sofa, the main issues I can see are the extra support leg sticking out from the middle of the seat and the thin looking cushions.
However, reviews of the range rave about the comfort and design. ‘The design is a bit different and gets lots of compliments, it’s comfortable too!’ writes a reviewer. ‘The sofa looks very modern and stylish. Easy to assemble and therefore comfortable. Such good quality but not expensive at all,’ writes another.

The summer sale won’t last forever, so if you like the look of this sofa or the matching armchair, I’d move fast. However, don’t forget to factor delivery costs into the final price. For a two-seater sofa, you’ll need to deliver a two-man X-large box, which will work out at around £40.
Evening is also known to have a long lead time on it Furniture; However, for this particular sofa, I have found delivery slots available from 29th July.
This isn’t the only item I’m seeing in the evening summer sale. Here are other design-forward purchases I plan to snap up to give my home a luxurious look on a budget.
