Looking for easy spring decorating ideas? Here’s some inspiration from my entry. I added a rug, metallic flowers, and the cutest pillow.
I’ve been working on a few spring decor updates for the back entryway.
And I had an assistant.
Are you ready to fall in love?
Just look at that face.
Everyone, meet Scotty.
She is my big goldendoodle dog and she is even cuter than she looks.
We’re watching her for the next few days, so of course we’ll be going for walks and playing games and checking on the squirrels in the backyard…
…and of course, decorating.
She helped me get the back entry ready for spring.
Let’s take a tour.
// this woven carpet //
Have you ever thought that you need to change any of your spaces in your home?
You don’t have a big budget.
Enough money for some change.
And you hope that small change makes a big difference.
And sometimes.
Sometimes when the stars align and the angels sing and the universe collectively decides to cooperate and all is right with the world.
Sometimes a small change turns out to be BETTER THAN YOU CAN EVEN IMAGINE.
// this woven carpet //
Here is the new carpet.
This is the most beautiful woven rug with layers of texture.
The model is amazing.
It’s a light khaki with a woven cream floral pattern.
You you can see the carpet here.
Here is the carpet and staircase from a different angle.
My favorite thing about the rug is that the pattern makes the white pop.
The staircase is painted SW Extra White and the walls are SW Sandbar.
There is so much light coming from the staircase that the color looks a little lighter in this photo.
And then?
I found this hydrangea pillow.
Isn’t it the cutest? Small hydrangeas are crocheted with thin thread.
It is 35 inches long and comes with a pillow insert.
This beautiful metal dogwood wreath was from last year.
I put it back on top of this balloon mold I found a few years ago at a thrift store.
You you can see the story here.
// brown carrying plate //
Remember that piece I salvaged from the side of the road?
I added this plate I got from Walmart.
Layer with this metal dogwood garland and these moss bunnies.
You you can see the plateau here.

I added some vintage pieces to the space. I bought them in Kentucky years ago and never found a place for them until now.
I think they are river gauges.
There is only a small wall space between the bathroom and the kitchen entrance and their verticality is perfect.
Happy Monday.
From Scotty and me.
Happy spring decorating and have a week as amazing as you are.
// washable rug //
PS I’d be remiss if I didn’t also share this washable rug from Walmart. I almost chose this instead for the entrance.
It looks so high end, but it goes straight into the washing machine.
