This week marks the official start of summer swim team season, which means our entire family is completely immersed in all things swimming! My husband is coaching the team this year, my oldest daughter is coaching with him, and both of my girls are swimming. As a volunteer coordinator, I also stay busy behind the scenes. Needless to say, we are talking, thinking, planning and living the swim team life 24/7 these days! 🏊🏻♀️
Aside from swim team, we spent Memorial Day weekend at the lake. Unfortunately, the weather was not quite cooperating, and it seemed to rain almost nonstop. We were able to sneak on the boat for a few hours each day, which was a nice break, but otherwise it was a pretty wet week. Still, it was wonderful to get away for a few days.
As much as I enjoyed the change of scenery, I was happy to be back home and settling into our summer routine. Of course, “regular” is a loose word this time of year! Between constantly feeding hungry teenagers and keeping up with people coming and going all day, summer has a way of keeping everyone on their toes.
