Salter, one of the UK’s oldest homeware brands, has released its alternative NinjaSale of Slushi Machines, just in time for summer weather. It’s a brand new slushie maker, retailing for it £179.99 via Salter’s websiteCapable of turning your beverage of choice into slush in 30 minutes and has an impressive 2.5 liter capacity.
I tried a few slushie makers last summer, this is my favorite of them all Ninja SlushieBut affordability is a big factor for those considering investing in this type of device designed for entertainment.
That’s why the Salter’s version, with its £179.99 price tag, as opposed to the Ninja Slushie’s £299.99 RRP, may seem too attractive to some. Here’s a closer look at this cut-price option.

These two machines have exactly the same capacity at 2.5 liters, but I’m guessing you’re more interested in the program of these machines before how much you can slush because you weigh them.
It is here again that these two machines match. Both have 5 programs, Slush, Frappé, Cocktail, Milkshake, Juice.
So far, so similar. The time it takes to achieve your desired level of slush will be the time I predict these machines may vary slightly. While I’ve tried the Ninja Slushie in the past, the process to freeze your drink is very quick – for me, it never took more than 30 minutes.

Salter advertises that their machine can also take as little as 30 minutes, so I’ll be curious to put it to the test to see how it compares to the Ninja’s version.
In terms of size, these two are again very similarly sized, requiring significant storage space if you want to put one of these machines away when not in use. Each machine’s design stacks up very differently, with the Ninja’s version offering more in terms of colorways and sizes.

This is Salter’s first foray into slushies, with only one model available so far while Ninja has just launched one. XL and MAX versions of their best selling slushie machinePerfect for those who like to feed a crowd, as well as lots of different colors.
Right now you can snap up the Ninja Slushie MAX in a neutral cool-tone Mocha Color, while superfans are desperate for the brand to restore the OG size in the viral the stone Shadow Ninja was also a very popular release last year Pastel versionswhich has two-tone accents throughout the machine.
Hosting and cooling off any of these machines on a hot summer day will be more fun this summer (as I found out last year!), so now all you have to do is decide if you’re going to save or splurge on your slushie machine.
