What is WWDC?
WWDC is Apple’s worldwide developer conference. While the event is synonymous with Apple’s big keynote, it’s actually a week-long event for developers to gather, workshop, and learn about what makes Apple’s platform. In addition to the event we all watch on our computers, there’s the “Platform State of the Union,” group labs, and more than 100 sessions for developers to attend. For the rest of us, however, WWDC is the main keynote, where Apple unveils the next generation of software updates. This year, it’s likely the “27 era,” which includes iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27. (That’s a lot of OSes.)
When is WWDC?
For the past 20 years, Apple has hosted WWDC in June. This year is no different. The conference begins on Monday, June 8 and runs through Friday, June 12. The keynote itself is on Monday and will begin at 10 am PT (1 pm ET).
