During its July Unpacked event, Samsung officially unveiled its next generation of foldable Galaxy devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is, despite the name, actually the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Galaxy Z Fold 8, instead, is a truly new device, offering a lighter design (and a slightly smaller price tag) than the Z Fold 8 Ultra. Finally, there’s the Z Flip 8, which doesn’t really change much from the Z Flip 7.

How to Pre-Order Galaxy Z Fold 8
Many people think that the Z Fold 8 is an upgraded version of the Z Fold 7, but it is not. This is a lighter take on Samsung’s foldable, which may appeal to users who want a phablet that takes up a little less space in their pocket. It comes with a 5.5-inch external display, a 7.6-inch internal display, three rear cameras (50MP wide, 50MP ultra wide and 2x optical zoom), and the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip as the rest of the “Z 8” line. How to Pre-Order Galaxy Z Flip 8
The Z Flip 8 hasn’t changed much from the Z Flip 7. It comes with a 4.1-inch external display and a 6.9-inch internal display (although the peak brightness has increased from 1600 nits to 2600 nits), 12GB of RAM, and the same cameras as the Z Flip 7, including the Ultra02MP, Wi51MP and Wi-5MP. 10X digital zoom. (That said, it has a new 2x optical zoom.) It also upgrades the SoC from the Exynos 2500.
