Direct TV has launched Meta Quest for headsets. While there are already single-channel streaming apps like Peacock Available on the headset, this is the first full TV distributor available to Quest users. It gives DirecTV subscribers access to more than 150 live channels—CNN, HGTV, and the NFL Network, among others. and a huge library of on-demand movies and shows.

The app itself works well. It’s a programming guide and screen that you can resize and anchor anywhere in augmented reality, giving you a portable, big-screen TV in your Quest headset. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but there’s really no reason to reinvent the wheel here.
Don’t sleep on DirecTV’s free channels and movies
If you don’t have a subscription to DirecTV, the app is still worth downloading.
