Each skein of this light (3) yarn was 446 yds/408 m, 5 oz/141 g. It is a 100% acrylic Snuggly Waggly yarn by Loops and Threads, which is currently discontinued. So, you can use any other lightweight yarn (3) in acrylic, cotton or other natural fibers. It was the closest match Baby Soft Blanket Yarn by Lion Brand.
Note, for the original project, we used 474 grams of yarn, which comes in 3.3 skeins. So, if you want, you can add a border around the entire blanket to use all 4 skins. Otherwise, consider these small and quick crochet projects for leftover yarn:
