While the regular version of the show sees contestants compete for their own cash prize, celebrities use their cheating (and/or general game-play) skills to win a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.
Last year, journalist Marina Hyde also revealed that each cast member received £40,000 for taking part. Marina spoke with co-host Richard Osmond about artist fees The rest is entertainment The podcast says, ‘…they were able to pay £40K fees each, right? I am pouring all my tea today. They’re paying him a £40K fee.’
What is the UK release date for Celebrity Traitors?
Although the only details the BBC has revealed are that Celebrity Traitors will air ‘later in 2026’, there are certain predictions we can make. If we read between the lines of the BBC and look at the release date of season one (October 8), we think it’s safe to assume that the new series will also hit our screens in October. With ten episodes confirmed, if it follows last year’s schedule, we’ll be seeing two episodes a week – airing Wednesdays and Thursdays on BBC One – for five weeks.
