Welcome to this week’s dinner menu! I’m having so much fun putting these together because there’s a little bit of everything, from the slow cooker to a fun Friday night calzone night, with some really delicious family recipes in between. I also eat a French sweet treat that I can’t wait to tell you about.

Pull up a chair, friend, it’s been a good week at the table!

This week’s Monday dinner is a dress rehearsal for a friend’s birthday lunch I’m hosting next week, and it’s also Bobby’s all-time favorite soup! I chose Tighan’s Slow Cooker French Onion Soup because her recipes are always reliable and delicious.

The peppery arugula salad, with its bright lemon vinaigrette, is the perfect pairing to balance the richness of the soup. I’m also testing the Lemon Rhubarb Loaf tonight because we have company coming over next weekend and I want to serve it up as a little pre-breakfast treat.

Many French dishes are actually quite easy to make, and today’s dinner is a perfect example. Chicken Normande is a one-pan meal, so clean-up is a breeze, and the flavors are absolutely delicious. Bacon-wrapped asparagus is a natural pairing with chicken.

Nani’s fried rice is a recipe that my grandmother has made for me for as long as I can remember and now I love to make it for my grandchildren.

Cod is one of my favorite fish, and this easy baked lemon cod practically swims in lemon and butter, making it absolutely irresistible. Creamy polenta with mushrooms brings rustic, earthy flavors to the plate and is the perfect counterpart to the lighter fish.

A simple Parmesan Chop Salad completes this easy, satisfying dinner.

Linguini and Clams is one of our favorites, and it’s one of those dinners that looks really special but is surprisingly easy to pull together. Our family favorite, the classic Caesar salad, is the perfect partner for this dish.

I love making homemade dough, and this spinach and ricotta calzone recipe makes it super easy. Topped with creamy ricotta and fresh spinach, it’s a real crowd pleaser, and I’d serve it with a nice jar of marinara sauce for dipping.

This afternoon we are having the kids and grandkids over for an early dinner, and the slow cooker is doing all the heavy lifting! I make the Crock Pot Pulled Pork ahead of time so it’s ready to heat up whenever we are.
