For the past few weeks I’ve been busying myself with spring cleaning, mopping floors, wiping baseboards and de-greasing things in the kitchen. Every cleaning project I complete helps my home feel fresher, which I find very satisfying.

9 Easily Overlooked Cleaning Projects to Add to Your To-Do List
1. Entryway closet
Months of removing and returning wet clothes and shoes from your entryway closet have probably left them in quite a state, so this is a good opportunity to give them a good clean! Your closet will feel refreshed, and you’ll be sitting pretty for the next few months.
2. Toolbox
There are always things to fix and repair during the spring and summer seasons, and by making sure your toolbox is clean you can set yourself up for success! Vacuum it, and throw out any junk that found its way in there. You will be organized and ready to tackle any project that comes your way.
3. Craft supplies
Wherever you keep your craft supplies, take a minute to assess the situation. Vacuum up any loose glitter, recycle any paper scraps and tidy it up a bit. You’ll thank yourself for doing it the next time you’re ready to start a new project!
4. Throw pillows and throw blankets
Check the labels on your throw pillows and throw blankets, and Wash them accordingly. Many pillow covers can be removed and thrown right in your washing machine! Refreshing your rugs and blankets will go a long way toward making your space feel clean, fresh, and inviting!

Before you need to start using your ceiling fans to keep your home cool, clean them thoroughly. That way you won’t be left in the dust when you turn it on! 6. Fridge drawers
Being only at the bottom of your fridge, fridge drawers tend to get really dirty! Take them out of the fridge and wash them thoroughly in soapy water. (If your sink isn’t big enough, you can always do it in your bathtub!) You’ll feel better about storing your farmer’s market produce in a clean drawer.
7. Baggage
Get your luggage ready for your next summer trip! Take your bags and suitcases out of the closet and wipe the outside with a damp cloth. Be sure to check inside too! Empty any lingering junk from pockets, and clean up any mess.
8. Pet toys and bedding
For pet owners, âspring cleaningâ often involves removing pet hair! Spring shedding means all of your pet’s belongings could probably use a good cleaning. Wash your pet’s bed and bedding if possible, and wash any cloth toys.
9. Outdoor Garbage Cans
It’s a good idea to wash your outdoor trash can every once in a while. It helps prevent lingering odors from becoming a problem! Drag your empty trash can to the lawn, and pour in a good amount of vinegar and a squirt. Dish soap at the bottom. Use your garden hose To “pressure wash” the interior of the can. Then pour soapy water and wash it thoroughly. Very good!
