After seeing this garden tool storage solution on an episode of Gardener’s World, Beth Merton, editor of Homebuilding and Renovating Knew she had to get him into his own shed – especially since Monty Don had done something similar.
“We simply attached pieces of wood to the wall of the shed in two rows. The bottom row has wooden pegs inserted along the length of the wood, and is great for hanging large garden tools like spades. The top row has simple nails along its length and we hook small tools like secateurs onto this row,” she explains.
“There’s also room behind the wood to stash things like gardening gloves. It means our garden tools are neatly tucked away to one side of the shed and we can easily find the tool we need without rooting around the shed. It’s a cheap and simple idea but really effective at keeping the space organised.”
