Look at that desk (which we all agreed we should never paint on), that’s where I sit every day.
My hands fly to the keyboard, and I write this blog 5 times a week.
And that desktop?
It’s always clean, like this.
I am kind of a stickler for organization in the office. It’s hard to work unless everything has a place and everything is in its place. I wish I had arranged everything like this earlier.
Now I have arranged the drawers.
And behind the door, the cabinet is arranged.
I get asked all the time about this bookcase and organizing and office.
Good thing there is an unlimited question policy.
And good thing I have the answers.
So today, let me show you these office spaces and how they work and are organized.

Both walls of the office are lined with these bookcases from IKEA. Before I open the door and show you inside, I wanted to answer a few questions I get asked all the time about bookcases:
- They are standard Billy bookcases from IKEA
- Bookcases come in separate parts – doors, bookcases and top units are separate
- You buy each one separately and then put them together
- We attached them to the wall (there are instructions on how to do this with the units)
- We have two bookcase units on one side and three bookcase units on the other
- Inside each bookcase are two adjustable shelves
And when you open the bookcase?
Here’s how I arranged them inside.

I love them so much. I have ordered two sets of them (and I may order one more set of them when I fill up two sets).
They come in different colors and have lids and measure 10.4 x 7.3 x 5.1 inches with small holes on the side to allow the contents to breathe.
I use too This stand-up file folder organizer for my files.

In each bin, I added These clip-on gold labels.
They just slide over the side of the bin and you can add labels to the front. I was going to print the fonts on the clear labels, but I didn’t have time.
Here are some things I store in the bin:
- photo supplies
- Stamp
- markers
- Labels
- tape
- notebook
- Scissors
- Chargers

On my dad’s desk (which I didn’t paint and I’m so glad you all convinced me not to), I have this laptop stand.
It is very sturdy and puts your computer at the perfect height for ZOOM calls. Before I got this stand I used to prop my computer up on books.
When you’re not using it, the stand folds flat and fits perfectly into a computer bag.

Inside desk drawers?
I have these plastic desk organizers that fit perfectly in the drawers.
I found these organizers at IKEA, but you can also use them These drawer organizers that I use to organize my kitchen drawers.
This The gold scissors are part of a nine-piece office set that I ordered.
Here is the stapler that is part of the set.
It also includes a beautiful tape dispenser, staple remover, ruler, pencil holder, stapler and tons more.

To hold office supplies like binder clips and paper clips and push pins, I found this set of acrylic apothecary jars with gold lids.
Then I decorated the bookcase with them.

On this side of the office, I have a charger station.
I love this retractable charger. It retracts on both sides so the charging station always looks neat. Finally there are three different charge types, so no matter what type of device you’re charging, there’s always a place to charge everything.

I also have this phone stand that holds my iPad or phone for watching movies or FaceTime.

Office makes it so much easier for you to work and write blog posts and books and emails.
Isn’t it amazing how organizing an office gives you a whole new perspective?
I was very productive last week and I feel like I owe it all to the office.
Work has never felt so cute….
