9. Culinary Corner: Lemon Magic Custard Cake: Preheat oven to 325°F. Line and grease an 8×8-inch pan. Whisk 4 egg yolks with ¾ cup sugar. Add ½ cup melted butter, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, ½ cup lemon juice, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir in ¾ cup flour and ¼ teaspoon salt. Gradually stir in 2 cups warm milk. Beat 4 egg whites to stiff peaks, gently fold in. Pour into the pan, bake for 40-45 minutes until golden. Cool, chill 1 hour, cut into 9 squares, dust with powdered sugar.
