When Lorna and her husband Harvey converted their 1960s barn, it needed a complete overhaul, and one of the last spaces left was the bathroom – now one of the most attractive rooms in the house. ‘My mother-in-law says it’s like walking into one of the bathrooms on the Titanic, which I love the idea of,’ says Lorna. ‘Timeless, but with a fresh, modern twist.’

The main motivation for Bathroom color scheme came from a Alice Palmer Wallpaper Which Lorna loved. ‘I wanted something fun, and the colors work so beautifully together,’ she says. ‘I was also a long-time admirer Striped Ca’Pietra tiles And now there was an opportunity to use it.’
‘Wall cladding adds a traditional, country-cottage feel and makes a space feel warmer and cozier. Having all the wallpaper might have felt too much, and it might have gotten dated pretty quickly,’ she adds.

A proper bath was also high on Lorna’s wish list, as a space that made a statement. ‘I wanted a wow moment when you walked in,’ says Lorna. The vanity and bath take center stage, while the loo is discreetly tucked away around the corner.

Throughout the process, Lorna worked closely with Jay JJ Bathroomwith whom she had previously collaborated on other projects. ‘Jay knows the bathroom inside out. We can make decisions very quickly,’ says Lorna.

Today, the finished space feels both timeless and bold—a balance Lorna credits to trusting her instincts. ‘You have to go with what you love,’ she says.
