Visitors to renowned cultural center Japan House London will be able to explore the beauty of everyday objects as part of a new exhibition. The show brings together a collection of nearly 2,000 exquisitely handcrafted items by more than 120 artists, artisans and self-taught makers from across Japan.
From ceramic matcha bowls to metal teapots like this one by You Heroes (pictured). HayekkoThese supposedly ‘ordinary’, but in reality finely crafted objects are presented in celebration of form and function and the aesthetics of contemporary Japanese craftsmanship.
