With pretty pastel colors and a natural grape wreath, this easy DIY Easter egg wreath idea is the perfect way to welcome spring. Use up any leftover plastic eggs with our printables Easter Scavenger Hunt!

A beautiful Easter egg wreath is the sweetest decoration for your front door. Easter is one of our favorite times of the year. Warm spring days, a focus on growth and renewal, and pretty pastel decor: what’s not to love!
Last year we simplified this Bunny ear beads And then a Bunny garland For a fireplace mantel. But this year will be all about eggs and chicks and this simple Easter wreath idea will be the starting point!

I think the garland looks great as is, but you could add a simple ribbon, some leaves, or a phrase in the middle. Seashell garland idea. I added a cute white dove to my Easter egg wreath.

One of the best parts of this wreath is that I used materials I already had at home. After Easter is done I can simply remove the eggs and reuse the wreath with a summertime theme.

Make sure the eggs are clean and dry.
Cut a piece of floral wire 4″ long. Thread a piece of wire and thread through the bottom holes of the plastic egg. Twist the wire to secure in place. Repeat with all the eggs.
Carefully glue the two egg pieces together so they stay closed.
Mix the paint so you have white, blue, light blue, green, and light green.
Paint each egg with different colors of paint. Set aside and allow to dry completely.
If using them, attach the wreath to the grapevine using floral wire.
Twist the tails of the wire from the egg around the pencil to make the hook.
Hook the wire into the branches of the wreath to hold it in place.
If necessary, add some hot glue to hold the eggs in place.
Repeat with alternating colors and sizes of the remaining eggs as you go around the wreath.
Add a cute bird if desired.
