Is Govi ​​Lightwall easy to set up?

When I first opened the bag and saw all the components, I was a little nervous about the assembly. I shouldn’t be. Gove included clear photo-based instructions, and I had Lightwall Assembles in about 15 minutes. Now that I know how it goes together, I can probably set it up in less than 5 minutes.

The metal frame supports three digital LED screens that connect at the top and bottom. Govee also includes clear connectors that help secure the curtains together on the sides, creating a uniform wall of light. The whole setup packs into a large carrying bag, which I found very handy when moving it to different locations.

Because this is a large unit, it needs to be stabilized. Govi came up with a smart solution: a water bag that attaches to the outer leg. I filled mine in the kitchen sink, but for remote use, I could see filling them with sand and taking them along.

Does Lightwall Really Create a Wow Factor?

This is where Lightwall literally shines. I waited until after dark to start testing, and the first animated scenes were enough to make me want to party. The Govi ​​Home app offers over 200 preset scenes, including options for holidays, birthdays, music and seasonal events.

Some scenes are simple color displays, but others move across the wall. I tested animated hearts, swimming fish, and a fireworks scene that sent colorful bursts throughout the exhibit. I could also show the current time, which would be a clever way to signal the end of the evening’s gathering.

I already had the Govee Home app on my device, and Gowi Lightwall Easily synced. I’ve also tested it with my Power Station, which makes it more portable than it first appears. If you’re camping at a site with an outlet, great. If not, compatible power stations can make lightwalls useful in more remote locations.

Is the Govi ​​Lightwall worth $449?

At $449, the Lightwall is an investment, but it’s also one of the most memorable outdoor lighting products I’ve tested. It can also serve as a colorful backdrop for backyard parties, graduation celebrations, Halloween displays, Christmas gatherings, poolside events, or photos.
