To keep the dreaded dust from spreading, she has attached plastic zip-up covers to her doors, which act as a barrier between the rooms being renovated and the rooms still in use.

Simple yet ingenious, these plastic doors help keep dust out while you renovate and feature a zip for easy access. Plus, they’re a bargain at under £20 for a two-pack.
Available in 12 different colors, this duct tape is ideal for attaching plastic door covers. It is heavy-duty, waterproof and comes in handy for all kinds of DIY projects.
Plastic covers attach easily to your door frame with duct tape, so there’s no need for drilling or screwing, and they can be quickly added and removed as needed. Even better, they can be used again and again, as they can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
While you can attach disposable plastic decorative sheets to doors you don’t use often, Laura recommends zip-up covers for areas where you still need to pop in and out.
While these plastic door covers will make a huge difference when it comes to keeping dust contained, there are other tricks you can combine with them to keep your space as tidy as possible:
