Marks & Spencer has just launched a range of four scented candles that look and smell a lot like the retailer’s iconic cocktail boxes we all know and love, each selling for £10 a candle. And yes, the widely favored gin and tonic is included – and I predict it Gin & Tonic Tinny scented candle will also be a bestseller.
Almost everyone has a favorite M&S cocktail box. Mine’s a gin and tonic, but I also wouldn’t say no to the mojito, the famous M&S cocktail in a tin that MP Diane Abbott got herself into trouble for drinking on a London Underground train. But you certainly won’t have any problems if you indulge in them the best scented candle doubles.

Besides Gin and Tonic and Mojito candlesthe new collection also includes a Pina Colada Tinny scented candle and a Pink Passion Star Martini Tinny scented candle. These are the cutest, most playful scented candles I’ve seen in a long time—and their cocktail tin-inspired glass jars make the perfect decor for the outdoor season this spring and summer, which is just around the corner. Or so I keep telling myself.

Of course, the gourmet scent of each candle is inspired by the aromas of the corresponding cocktails. Gin and Tonic opens with citrus notes and follows with juniper and botanical aroma. The mojito is just as fresh with top notes of lime combined with mint and a hint of rum.
The other two are sweeter – the Pina Colada candle combines notes of coconut, pineapple and vanilla, while the Pink Passion Star Martini is all about the passion fruit notes topped with vanilla.
Each candle has an impressive burn time of up to 100 hours and comes with a pewter-inspired pop-up lid.
Given their charming, nostalgic design, I’m sure these candles will be a hit with M&S customers and sell out quickly, as many M&S candles do – whether it’s range of viral ceramic candles which debuted this year or M&S glowing candles which sell out for a few days each Christmas season.
