These colorful little ladybug painted rocks are the sweetest addition to your garden bed, but they also live inside houseplants or can be used as paperweights! All you need is some simple rocks, outdoor paint and sealer.

Why we love this project
Aren’t these ladybug painted rocks the sweetest? Each ladybug has its own personality painted in vibrant colors and distinguished by its matching size and shape. I can’t begin to tell you how many people have walked past my garden beds in front of my studio and admired them! Unfortunately I also lost a few passers-by who pocketed them. At least they will continue to bring joy to others.
I first made these cuties in 2007-2008, however, I didn’t get them on my blog until 2016. It has been going viral for quite some time now for obvious reasons! They are absolutely adorable, and honestly so easy to make. All you need is some simple rocks, colorful outdoor paint, and a good sealer to keep the elements from succumbing. Ladybug rocks are also great as your indoor pots, outdoor garden beds, hanging plants or paperweights. It’s a fun summer craft for kids, adults, and seniors alike!
