Easy tips for growing hydrangeas

Random thoughts on a bright sunny summer Saturday with additional perusals:

1. Westleigh and I went down to College Station yesterday for a fun event.

It was a “My Favorite Things” party.

Then we went to dinner and looked at all the old photos on our phones from when everyone was little and laughed and laughed (I might have torn up a little).

2. Wait ’til you see the cutest patterns in our favorite bras (and they’re on sale, too). you You can see it here.

And this really nice neutral color is on sale right now for about 50% off. you You can see it here.

4. It was a wonderful week on the blog. We discussed:

5. Here’s a tip for your next home manicure. I use This top coat dries almost instantlyAnd I wrap it over and above the nail. Then I add another top coat every day. Every day it gets a little harder and shinier. After a few days, it looks like I got my nails done at a salon.

It’s under $4 and you I can see the top coat I use here.

And now?

It’s time to share.

Here are some of my favorite finds on the web.

(Spoiler alert: they are awesome). 🙂

A person wearing a white, ankle-length eyelet skirt, a white top, tan sandals, and a woven straw tote bag. Only the lower half of the body is visible.

One of my favorite things:

I bought this skirt and it’s so cute in person.

(A gross aside: this is a great option if you don’t want to wear a short skirt, but don’t like the fullness and heaviness of a long skirt).

But here’s the thing. I’m trying to style it and running into a styling roadblock.

Can you help?

Have you ever seen these skirts styled before?

Here are some ideas I came up with.

Let me know if you think any of these would be cute (or if you have another styling idea).

  • Blue jeans shirt tied at waist
  • A white t-shirt with a big chunky colorful necklace
  • White T-shirt with eyelet sleeves
  • A hot pink short-sleeve sweater and hot pink sandals.

you The skirt can be found here (it also comes in other colors).

And one more for the road

One of my favorite affordable projects is painting plywood floors. I have done it in all my homes and it never disappoints.
