Just including a small cooker enables us to create a cupboard below Pots and pansand offers great storage options without conforming to modern dimensions, including rustic cupboards.’ Simple additions, like a beautiful hanging rail, make a feature of some of the cabin’s vintage utensils while negating the need for classic drawers or holders that can take up space on a small countertop area.

Visually Kitchen area zoning Shading, notes owner Charlie Teal, creates an attractive architectural element to the design in an otherwise open plan space. ‘Since it’s a small cabin, we had to put a lot of thought into the design to make it feel like a normal home kitchen while being limited by its size. The breakfast bar acts as a dining table, each overlooking the Kaban but also serves as a very useful additional preparation area,’ he continues. Elsewhere there is a fridge-freezer, a Two-burner gas hobextraction, and sink. ‘We also had to integrate a boiler for the cupboard into the cupboard. We didn’t want to waste space so the kitchen cupboards open up to the ceiling and offer more storage while the black creates a beautiful design element, contrasting with the wood and highlighting the shape of the structure,’ he adds.
