As the sun begins to rise in the UK, we’re all coming out of hibernation, eager to socialize again. And what better way to socialize than at a dinner party? Especially in summer, when opportunities for al fresco dining and barbecue is prevalent. When the sun starts to set and the burgers run out, a game is the perfect way to liven things up. These dinner party games are perfect for six people or less and are sure to show your guests a good time.

1. Water sports
you will need

- Sit the guests in a circle.
- Choose one person and give them a small glass of water.
- The person holding the water decides the category (eg fabric type) and shares the category with the group. They then secretly choose an item (eg velvet) from that category and do not share it.
- All other players then take turns to guess what the person has chosen, taking turns until someone guesses correctly.
- A glass of water is thrown in the face of the person who guesses correctly.
- The game continues with a new person, category and glass of water.
2. Spoon

- Spoon, one less than the number of players
- A standard deck of 52 playing cards
