How to knead coffee warm
A coffee cozy is a great way to keep your coffee or tea warm (or to keep your hands from scratching the cup). Here we show you how you can knit your own! These coffee cozies also make great gifts, so make a few and keep them on hand.
The cozy is worked in a ribbed pattern, giving it the elasticity it needs to pull over the cup without sagging, and the little twist I added adds a little more depth.

How to make a little twist
Little twist = two stitches worked. Slip the first stitch as you knit, and then knit the next stitch. Bring your left needle to the stitch you slipped, and insert your left needle into that stitch, and pass it over the stitch you just knitted. You will have a strand of yarn drawing a slightly twisted arch over the knit stitch. Knit the stitch you just returned to the left needle. (Sl, K1, PSSO, K)

- Cut the yarn, leaving about a 12” tail, and attach a darning needle.
- Secure the last stitch, and place the cast on edge next to the bind off edge, and close the top 1/2 inch of the stitch seam.
- Weave the sewing yarn down one side of the seam, leaving a nice little gap to fit the handle of your mug.

Stitch the remaining 1/2” of the seam.
