
In mine opinionthere aren’t many “mistakes” you can make when it comes to this organizing. No method for organizing will they work equally well for everyone because no two homes are exactly alike!
But there is at least one organizational gaffe that I would like label as a ‘mistake’, if only because it appears to be opposed common sense! But this error is so common (even in my own a house!) which I thought would be useful address in today’s blog post. 🙂

The worst organizational mistake you can make
So what’s that all about organizing mistake you ask? That’s it act to store an object outside of the space where you are use it most often.
Extracting things from around a house it’s often a deeply ingrained habit, so you may not even realize you’re doing it! To find out if it can need to reassess where you shop things, just do a note on yours telephone every time you leave an area to get something need.
Then do this for about a week review your list at the end of the week. It should make you pretty clear an idea on how you can fix yours organizing mistake!

9 ways to store things where you use them

1. Hand tools
Find yourself making small ones household repairs in kitchen or at the dining table? Save a a small set of hand tools nearby and save yourself the trip to garage!

2. Scissors
Scissors can be useful everywhere a houseso you cram them into a drawer in yours home office may not be the best way! if possible keep several pair of scissors about a house in useful places like kitchen and living room.

3. Contact case
If your contacts are bothering you, you might be sick of going all the way up to the master bathroom to get a solution for your case and contact. It might be more convenient to keep them in the guest room downstairs bathroom instead!

4. Lotion
Dry skin can flare up in winter and if the lotion is tucked away in bathroom may dissuade you from using it when you need it! Save somewhere more central so you can use it as needed or stash a few different bottles around a house.

5. Laundry basket
Washing machine obstacles should not refer to laundry room! The best place for a basket is anywhere clothes tend to pile up (even if that means having several different baskets!)

6. Cleaning wipes
Do you cross often? a house to pick up your container cleaning tissues? Consider putting several different containers in rooms you use them most often.
Or at the very least, consider storing them in a more central and convenient location!

7. Stamps
If you usually pay bills or write letters in the same place, it makes sense to keep yours seals there too! Save hiding place of seals and convenient envelopes so you don’t have to search for them every time.

8. Reading glasses
For me, the hardest part of adjusting to using reading glasses was keeping them with me! I’m still trying to break the habit of leaving them somewhere and then immediately forgetting where I put them.
Meanwhile, I just keep several pairs of reading glasses on hand. Since ours a house it’s not too big, it means I can usually find a pair quickly enough when I need them!

9. Meals
If you have china or other breakable dishes, you probably use them infrequently enough to keep them in the dining room room (or anywhere else outside kitchen.) But when it comes to everyday meals, the best place for them is anywhere cabinet is closest to dishwasher!
It may not seem like a big deal, but it does take a toll on dishwasher faster and easier!
